Here We Go!

Well, the last 30 days really have been a whirlwind. I left my job at Goway after 5 years, packed up my apartment and went road tripping with my Momma across Ontario to Thunder Bay for 10 days of visiting before jetting across the Atlantic.

I’ve got to say, leaving home the afternoon of the 9th of September brought on all the feels. It wasn’t quite the same as 8 years ago when my family took me to the airport to bid me farewell for my year away in Australia. This felt different. I am different. I Predict More Rain in My Future

Well, it’s official – in September I’m moving to the UK.

Yeah, it’s kind of a big deal.

I’m really starting to get super excited about it. Living in the UK has always been something I kind of meant to do, but never really got around to. It was my original plan for my year abroad which I did about 100 years ago, but ended up in Australia instead.

Well, this year’s the year! And it’s a good thing really because it’s also the last year I can easily go (gotta get that working holiday visa before you’re 31). Though, I must admit, that the fact that my eligibility is about to expire isn’t my main motivation for heading to the land of fish and chips. Continue reading I Predict More Rain in My Future
